the sweet Rottweiler at the Lacy pound with the nasty wound on her neck.
She is phenomenal! We are ecstatic to have found such a beauty in that place.
She's sweet and lovable and apparently quite
trainable. We spent a few hours with a trainer
today and she was a star pupil.
We have a 10 year old chowbrador named Fidel that gets along comfortably with
her... no small thing. If you hadnt' listed her on your website, we would never
have noticed her. So thank you so much.
We have a very happy home with our "Girl" (name soon to change). Will
keep you posted.
All the best,
Suzanne and Cullen
Paddie

Hello!
We took some pics of Meka playing this last month and I thought I send them
your way!
She's doing wonderful! Her shyness is improving with strangers, and her personality
around other dogs is night and day from 3 to 4 months ago. She has become very
interested in other dogs, wanting to play and run around with them. I think
she's
become quite fond of our weekend trips to the dog park. In the beginning, she
would
shy away and growl at the other dogs approaching her, but now she prances around
the
park trying to find her favorite playmate and shows a bit of interest in sniffing
the other dog's owners when their not looking. So she's getting a bit more
comfortable.
Everyday is a new experience. She loves throwing pillows and cushions all over
the
room, loves finding tupperware on the counter, and has a fondness for carpet.
Likes
to unravel it every few weeks! Whoops! She's never been very food motivated,
but
she's been a bit more curious about people food lately and finally is finishing
her
food!
So only after 6 or so months, she has made tremendous progress. At home she
is
always by our side or the cat's and is extremely loveable, affectionate, and
full of
energy!
We'll send more as we take them and keep you posted!

We
just want to thank you for taking care of Paddie. She's an awesome dog and
had been through a lot. You both are awesome folks to take care of unwanted
pets. .It's sad that there are so many. ..
Here is a picture of us and Paddie!

We would love for Boo to be posted on the "Happy Endings" page.
He has grown into such a cute puppy! Everybody thinks he is a
young Golden puppy. He is the biggest sweetheart and loves to cuddle!

I hope you
are doing well! I just wanted to drop you a note to give you
an update on our little man, Neville (renamed
Jake :)). Jake has been
with us for a little over a week now and yet it feels like he is a
companion we have had in our lives forever! He has been a wonderful
addition to our family and we could not love him more. I think that he
is really enjoying his new home and I am happy to report that he is
eating well and is very healthy! We took him to the vet today (he did
really well!) and he said that Jake looks great and is in good health.
We have been socializing Jake quite a
bit and he is doing really well.
There are tons of dogs in our neighborhood
and he is quickly making new
friends. We've also taken a few trips to the dog park where it is clear
that he still enjoys playing with the big
girls! I keep telling people
that he is a big dog trapped in a little dog's
body. He has such a great
big personality and an even bigger heart.
He loves to play fetch and
creates little obstacle courses in the house
when we play...it's
hilarious! He also loves to just chill with
us while we are watching
tv... our new favorite show is the Dog Whisperer
on National Geographic
:).
Anyway, in short, we feel so lucky to have
found Jake and are thrilled
that we could provide a happy forever home
for him. Thank you so much
for taking such good care of him. It is clear
you gave him a lot of love
and structure as he is very well-adjusted
and well-behaved for his young
age.
All the best,
Sandra and Neal
